Course Description
Research in the department is motivated by the needs of industry, business and government; we actively look for opportunities for technology transfer. An important aspect of this is that our research work must be reflected in our teaching. We believe that collaboration in research is essential and we collaborate with industry, with government, and with other academic institutions, on a national and international level. Institute of Biological, Environmental & Earth Sciences:
For relevant research projects in agricultural or biological science based in the Institute of Biological, Environmental & Rural Sciences, it may be necessary to charge supplementary bench fees up to a maximum of £7,500 for each year of study. Whether a supplementary bench fee is levied and the extent of that fee will depend on the nature of the research being undertaken. These bench fees may be applied to research projects involving large animals or significant amounts of consumable reagents.
