Course Description
In contemporary Wales there is an increasing demand for bilingual professionals of the highest quality. When choosing to study Professional Welsh / Business and Management, you will combine linguistic and professional Welsh skills with expertise in business and management, thereby opening doors to great career prospects.
On this innovative course, you can step into the business world in Wales and gain extremely valuable skills and experiences. You will have the opportunity to learn how to administer, edit, translate and market. You can also gain management, presentation, leadership and collaboration skills, and learn about entrepreneurship and developing your own business.
This course is available to first and second language students, and there is a unique opportunity to study it even if you have not done Welsh First Language A Level.

What will I learn?
In your first year, you will discover the keys of the language, together with the characteristics of standard Welsh; basic principles of business and management; the registers of the contemporary language in various circumstances; marketing principles and contemporary practice; written skills, and reinforces your understanding of Welsh grammar.
In your second year you will examine human resources and how they are managed; how to use Welsh thoroughly and correctly, in writing and orally, building on what was learned in the first year; the supply chain and how it is operated and managed; different aspects of literary, technical, historical and practical translation and adaptation.
In your final year, you will have the opportunity to study different aspects of translation and adaptation, building on what was learned in the second year; study financial strategy; study strategic leadership; undertake a long project based on original research.
You will also be able to choose from a wide variety of optional modules.
