Course Description
International Relations with History is the perfect combination if you're seeking to understand the evolution of the political, social and economic world we live in today. It blends the expertise of two departments giving you choice from a range of modules and areas of study. On this scheme you will reflect on key questions such as: how did the international political structures that govern us evolve and why did they take the form they did? How have relations between states, societies, and peoples changed over time and what have been the central factors shaping those developments? You will also learn about the evolution of key ideas and concepts in politics, history, international relations and historiography. By choosing to study for a degree in International Relations and History at Aberystwyth University you will be a part of an energetic and lively educational and research community.

- You will be taught in two departments with long and prestigious histories. History has been taught at Aberystwyth since 1872, and the Department of International Politics was the world's first when it was founded in 1919.
