What will I learn?

The holistic approach of business and management teaching in your first year explores foundational elements so you discover and understand the fundamental principles of business. These include the mechanisms by which management is discharged in various industries, the impact of the business environment on performance, and the mediating impact of macro-environmental elements (such as Brexit, COVID-19) have on management. Additionally, the contemporary mechanisms by which organisations communicate value propositions to customers and markets are explored. Within Psychology, a similar foundational route is undertaken and you will explore social and individual behaviour, brain cognition, historical issues in psychology and importantly you will begin to understand the inter-related nature of the individual, society and culture to business practice.

In your second and third year, you will undertake core business and management psychology concepts that include organisational behaviour and theory, impacts of market structures and pricing strategies, the effective development and utilisation of industry specific techniques for operations management. Additionally, the impacts of human resource and talent management on executing organisational management and leadership planning are introduced and mastered.
