The BA Honors degree in Sociology and Social Policy is unique to Wales. Bangor is the only University in Wales where you can study the social sciences completely through the medium of Welsh. Studying Sociology with Social Policy as a degree is an ideal and popular combination among students.

By following Sociology with Social Policy you will have the opportunity to understand and discuss how society works, how and why people behave the way they do, and explore theories and research used to devise, implement and evaluate policies to deal with profound social problems. In order to meet different interests the degree program has been developed to provide students with an understanding of social issues together with developing core and transferable skills and abilities.

'International Experience Year' and 'Year on Placement' options are available for this course. You will have the opportunity to consider these options fully after starting your course in Bangor and you can apply to transfer to one of these options at the appropriate time.
