Course Description

This course is divided equally between Welsh and Social Studies. Your Welsh modules will combine the study of literature and culture with linguistic studies that cover the history of the Welsh language and its practical use for work-related purposes. Sociology is research into social life and the way it shapes people's behaviour, beliefs and identity. The field includes examining people's daily dealings with each other, face to face, large social institutions, social movements and global processes. Our graduates work in areas such as the civil service, social services, broadcasting, publishing, teaching, translation and the arts.

'International Experience Year' and 'Year on Placement' options are available for this course. You will have the opportunity to consider these options fully after starting your course in Bangor and you can apply to transfer to one of these options at the appropriate time.
