Course Description
This course enables you to study the links between history, literature and language. You can study Welsh history modules and also choose from modules dealing with the history of Britain, Europe and the wider world. The Welsh provision varies from Mabinogi legends to contemporary literature. Your linguistic studies will cover the history of the Welsh language and its practical use in the world of work in preparation for employment in areas such as the civil service, local government, broadcasting, publishing, teaching, translation and the arts.
'International Experience Year' and 'Year on Placement' options are available for this course. You will have the opportunity to consider these options fully after starting your course in Bangor and you can apply to transfer to one of these options at the appropriate time.
