Course Description
Our Certificate in Higher Education in Physics and Mathematics will prepare you for physics, mathematics, engineering and computer science degrees. This intensive course includes study skills support and help with your application for degree study. You will gain an overview of the physical universe we inhabit, raising fascinating questions about its underlying structure and the nature of physics. You will also have the opportunity to enhance your problem-solving and laboratory skills.
Our team of lecturers, demonstrators and technicians are dedicated to providing a wide range of opportunities for adult learners interested in physics and mathematics and their application in understanding the physical world and related areas such as engineering.
On successful completion, you will be guaranteed an interview for a Birkbeck mathematics degree.

London costs approx 34% more than average, mainly due to rent being 67% higher than average of other cities. For students staying in student halls, costs of water, gas, electricity, wifi are generally included in the rental. Birkbeck, University of London (BBK) was established in 1823, and takes a different stance towards admissions than many other universities. Applicants are encouraged by BKK to apply even if they don’t possess the traditional qualifications normally required, as applications here are also considered based on an assessment of your knowledge on the subject, and any work experience you might have.
