Course Description

The Legal Practice Course, also known as the LPC, is a postgraduate course that is normally studied after an undergraduate degree or law conversion course.

If you are looking to become a solicitor, our LPC offers the practical knowledge and commercial awareness to succeed in practice. We focus on the skills and the knowledge you need to secure a training contract.

You will be assessed through a range of methods, including written and oral examinations (either open book or with specified permitted materials). There are no closed book exams on our LPC or LLM Legal Practice (Solicitors).

Entry Requirements / Admissions

BPP Law School offers a number of exclusive scholarships open to all BPP students.

The entry requirements to study the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at BPP University Law School are as follows: - Qualifying law degree minimum 2.2 or above - Non-law degree minimum 2.2 or above and a GDL, CPE, or similar qualification such as CILEx - If you wish to study our fast-track LPC, you will be required to hold a 2.1 at degree level English language requirements: If English is not your first language and you do not hold an honours degree that was delivered in English, you will be required to provide certified proof of ability in written and spoken English to at least IELTS 6.5 (overall) or equivalent. Exemptions: BPTC graduates applying for the LPC may be eligible for exemptions and discounted fees when applying with Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL). London costs approx 34% more than average, mainly due to rent being 67% higher than average of other cities. For students staying in student halls, costs of water, gas, electricity, wifi are generally included in the rental. Students in smaller cities where accommodation is in walking/biking distance transport costs tend to be significantly smaller.

About BPP University

BPP University is a privately funded university which was established in 1992 in the city of Manchester, England. BPP’s Manchester study centre is located in the heart of the City Centre, less than a 5-minute walk from Manchester Oxford Road train station. Law students here have access to simulation courtrooms, as well as an experienced and knowledgeable career services team that learners can depend on.
