Accredited by Chartered Management Institute (CMI), our BA (Hons) Sport Business Management degree provides the perfect opportunity to explore the worlds of both sport and business. You’ll develop organisational leadership, finance, and strategy knowledge. Plus, an in-depth understanding of key areas of the sports industry such as sport facility operations, events, marketing and the media.

This course has a shared first year across multiple specialisms. After your first year, if you want to study a different specialism you can choose to change between BA (Hons) Sport Business Management and BA (Hons) Sport Business Management and Marketing.

What are my career prospects?

Our Sport Business Management degree will help prepare you for a wide range of sport management roles in private, public or charitable areas of the sport industry including: Sports Events Management, Sports Facility Management, Sports Entrepreneur as well as the Health and Fitness Industry.

You could choose to become self-employed. Or you might also think about a career in community sports trusts and professional sports clubs.

IDM accreditation recognises that the course has met the content requirements for students to take the IDM Certificate in Digital and Data Driven Marketing, an entry level qualifications for those entering the data and marketing profession. Students may become DMA student members, use DMA content to support their learning and gain skills to increase their employability for work.
