Creative and Professional Writing
We put employability right at the heart of this degree. All our tutors have recent industry experience. They’ll teach you the essential skills for good writing: control of language, precision, imagination and a deep understanding of the context in which you write. During the course you’ll dive into creative forms such as fiction, poetry, drama and game narratives. You’ll gain in confidence as you explore the wide range of job options open to professionally trained writers.
English Language and Linguistics
Communicating effectively in the English language is an essential skill.
Studying this course, you’ll develop an in-depth understanding of the English language. You’ll also learn about the importance of language in communication at personal, public, group and cross-cultural levels.
Our work placement module allows you to develop your communication skills in a professional setting. By the end of the course you’ll feel ready to move into one of the many jobs where a strong command of the English language is highly valued.
