Course Description

The University offers excellent facilities for research, teaching and professional practice for MPhil and PhD research in Media and Cultural Studies.

There is a strong interdisciplinary research culture, offering quantitative, ethnographic and textual research methodologies and a growing practice- based research environment.

For an MPhil the students are required to demonstrate that they can conduct an original investigation, test ideas (those of their own and others) and understand the relationship between the topic investigated and the wider field of knowledge. For a PhD, in addition to the above, the student's thesis should also make an original contribution to knowledge or understanding in their field of study.

About Canterbury Christ Church University

Founded in 1962, Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) has two campuses for Undergraduates, with one being located in the urban setting of the town of Canterbury, Kent and the other in Medway. Students come from afar to take this university’s STEM courses in the subjects of Medicine and Engineering, as well as their more than 200 Undergraduate courses on a wide variety of subjects.
