Course Description
Study to be a midwife, a unique role caring for women during one of the most important times in their lives. Our Midwifery course will develop your practical skills and knowledge required to care for women during pregnancy, labour and after birth. You'll be taught to question and critically evaluate practice and, in doing so, place women and families at the centre of care. The course is equally divided between University and the practice setting. During your practice placements, you'll be supported and assessed by midwives, who will guide your learning and development.
The course provides you with the knowledge and skills to be eligible to apply to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

About Canterbury Christ Church University
Founded in 1962, Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) has two campuses for Undergraduates, with one being located in the urban setting of the town of Canterbury, Kent and the other in Medway. Students come from afar to take this university’s STEM courses in the subjects of Medicine and Engineering, as well as their more than 200 Undergraduate courses on a wide variety of subjects.
