The National Award for SEN Co-ordination is a one year, part time postgraduate certificate course, which, on successful completion of the assessed work will give SENCOs 60 Masters level credits (the equivalent to a third of a full Masters).

This course is for qualified teachers holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)/Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) who have recently been appointed to the role of Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), or who are aspiring SENCOs.
Please note: Entry requirements for QTS: School staff in the role of SENCo will have completed an induction period (SEND Regs 2014, paragraph 49)
If English is not your first language you require an IELTS overall score of 6.0 with no element below 5.5 for most standard undergraduate and postgraduate courses. There are some exceptions and if the IELTS requirement differs it will be specified on the course page.

London costs approx 34% more than average, mainly due to rent being 67% higher than average of other cities. For students staying in student halls, costs of water, gas, electricity, wifi are generally included in the rental. Students in smaller cities where accommodation is in walking/biking distance transport costs tend to be significantly smaller.

About Canterbury Christ Church University
Founded in 1962, Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) has two campuses for Undergraduates, with one being located in the urban setting of the town of Canterbury, Kent and the other in Medway.
