Course Description

This Foundation degree is a work-based course which means you work and learn at the same time. You will develop the effective use of knowledge, skills and core values that are relevant to future work or study in both social care and social work.

The Foundation degree in Social Care Studies is designed to help you develop their understanding of the knowledge, skills and values that underpin social care practice and leads to an academic award that recognises their own knowledge and capability in the work place.

It is a two-year programme accredited by Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) but studied for at the College, and successful students have the option to continue their studies to BA Honours level for a third 'top-up' year here at college or at CCCU’s own campus.

About Canterbury Christ Church University

Founded in 1962, Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) has two campuses for Undergraduates, with one being located in the urban setting of the town of Canterbury, Kent and the other in Medway.
