Course Description

Art and Design PGCE W1XX If you are a graduate who is eager to study your specialist subject and has a desire to inspire young people, this is the course for you! The PGCE Secondary Education program is a one-year course that will lead to the award of Qualified Teacher Status (QTA). The aim of the course is to prepare trainee teachers to be skilled, confident and innovative practitioners who are able to reflect critically and who are committed to lifelong professional learning and to the education of young people.

Er mwyn ymuno â Phrifysgol Metropolitan Caerdydd, rhaid i bob ymgeisydd Uwchradd TAR fod â'r canlynol erbyn dechrau’r tymor: Gofynion TGAU: TGAU gradd B/gradd 5 neu uwch mewn Saesneg Iaith, Llenyddiaeth Saesneg, Cymraeg Iaith (Iaith Gyntaf) neu Lenyddiaeth Gymraeg a Mathemateg (neu gymhwyster cyfwerth safonol). Pan gyflawnir cymhwyster sy'n cyfateb i radd B/gradd 5 naill ai mewn Llenyddiaeth Saesneg neu Lenyddiaeth Gymraeg, rhaid cyflawni o leiaf gradd C/gradd 4 yn yr arholiad TGAU cyfwerth mewn Cymraeg Iaith (Iaith Gyntaf) neu Saesneg Iaith. Bydd ymgeiswyr sydd wedi ennill gradd D neu uwch mewn TGAU (neu gyfwerth) mewn Saesneg Iaith a Mathemateg wrth ymgeisio yn cael eu hystyried ar gyfer cyfweliad Bydd angen TGAU gradd C neu uwch mewn Cymraeg (Iaith Gyntaf) ar fyfyrwyr sy'n astudio i addysgu mewn ysgolion cyfrwng Cymraeg. Mae Prifysgol Metropolitan Caerdydd yn cynnig arholiad cywerthedd mewnol ar gyfer TGAU Saesneg Iaith a Mathemateg i fodloni gofynion gradd B.  Cynigir arholiad cywerthedd i'r rhai sydd â gradd D mewn Gwyddoniaeth hefyd. Ar gyfer ymgeiswyr nad oes gyda’r radd berthnasol, rydym yn derbyn cymwysterau cyfatebol ac mae rhagor o wybodaeth am yr hyn a dderbynnir ar ein gwefan. Mae angen i ymgeiswyr nodi ar eu cais os ydynt yn ail-sefyll arholiad TGAU /arholiad cyfwerth.
