Course Description

The Doctorate in Forensic Psychology is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). It is a ‘top-up’ designed for qualified Forensic Psychologists who would like to undertake an applied research project in an area related to the field of forensic psychology.

Applicants will be expected to hold a first class or 2.1 BSc (Hons) psychology degree accredited by the British Psychological Society. They will need to demonstrate extensive experience in applied forensic psychology, which will be evaluated as part of an assessment day. Normally we would expect at least 1 year of such work experience before being accepted onto the programme.

For students staying in student halls, costs of water, gas, electricity, wifi are generally included in the rental.
