WELSH

The Welsh language course is relevant to contemporary Wales and is taught by a School that has been recognized for the quality and impact of its research. The aim of the course is to produce graduates who have a thorough understanding (academicly and practically) of the Welsh language, its literature and culture, a high level of oral and written linguistic skills, and developed employability and creative skills which relevant to modern Wales.

It offers core and optional modules to give you a foundation in terms of language and literature, as well as an opportunity to specialize in areas of personal interest or in terms of your career.

EDUCATION

Our teaching work on Education is based on our research in the world of education and the latest developments in terms of policy and practice, covering aspects of culture and identity, childhood and youth, gender and ethnicity, and social justice and inclusion.

Core modules are aimed at developing a deep understanding of the social, historical, political, economic and developmental contexts of education - in Wales, the United Kingdom and internationally.

As a joint honors student, you will find that there are often areas and perspectives that connect subjects, whether it is critical analysis, historical contexts or recent research.

The two schools involved in delivering this degree offer a challenging course of modules, which is supported by a friendly atmosphere and excellent relations between the students and staff.
