Join us to look at how the UK education system shapes futures, and understand how the organisations and groups through which we live our lives impact our identity, values and wellbeing. If you’re the type of person fascinated by other’s lives and society as a whole, our education and sociology degree is the course for you. You’ll dive into the history, philosophy, psychology and sociology of education. Together we’ll also unpick sociological issues like politics, class, family origin, gender, disability, identity and culture. What shaped our school and university systems? How did past governments mould the way we teach and train? Our experts will share their knowledge so you understand the UK education system inside out and can compare it to education around the world. In sociology, look at life beyond the education system. Study social trends and investigate sociological developments and phenomena in cultural, political and historical contexts.
