Course Description

The Environmental Management programme provides a unique opportunity to focus on personal interests from within a variety of specialisms from waste management, geographical information systems, contaminated land, social inclusion, enhancing the countryside, energy efficiency and transport policy.

The programme is accredited by the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Environmental matters are now a key consideration for any company. Environmental Management graduates understand the impact on the environment of construction and regeneration and the need for the effective management of waste, energy, land resources and social issues.

Our taught modules reflect these key issues and students are ready to step into the environmental roles that employers increasingly demand.

Students have the opportunity to carry out a work placement in Year 3 either in the UK or in Europe. There are also opportunities for industrial placements in India and America.

M in T Level Health, Healthcare Science, or Science.

HNC in Care and Administrative Practice or Applied Science with B required in graded unit for entry to Year 1 Sufficient science and discursive subjects and a strong academic profile to be competitive. English and Maths at least at National 5 Grade B.

31-30 overall or 665-655 in 3 HL subjects.
