Course Description

The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is designed specifically for international students (non-EU), and is made up of 4 components

Studio Practice (Art and Design)

Cross School Project

English Language (for students with an IELTS score 6.0 or below)

Critical Theory

Studio Practice – The bulk of the course is focused on developing a strong beginning in studio practices for both Fine Art and Design. It provides specialised projects and tuition by a small staff team in dedicated studios, with additional contributions by tutors from across the academic departments. Completion of the International Foundation allows students to apply for entry into Year 2 Fine Art and Design programmes at GSA or to Year 2 of other Institutions in the UK.

Validated by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) at Part 1 level for the purpose of eligibility for membership of the RIBA.
