Course Description
Hull York Medical School, a partnership between the Universities of Hull and York, provides a unique undergraduate medicine programme, designed to equip the doctors of tomorrow with the skills they need to deliver exceptional healthcare.
The programme prepares students for real life as a junior doctor, through a combination of high quality, patient-centred teaching, clinician-led problem-based learning and sustained clinical experience from the very start of the programme.
As a partnership between the two universities, the school provides access to the very best facilities and academic expertise that each institution has to offer, as well as a unique breadth of clinical experience in both primary and secondary care, incorporating rural and coastal locations as well as densely populated urban environments.
Learning, which is facilitated in small groups by expert practising clinicians, is designed to allow students to develop the superior communication skills and confident, empathetic approach to delivering care that are the hallmark of a Hull York Medical School graduate.
