Course Description

This new Masters qualification is designed for aspiring clinical researchers, as well as those wishing to gain a deep understanding of the underlying principles of how drugs work and how to develop new drugs.

You will work alongside both academics and practitioners, as well as external partners including international pharmaceutical companies and the Home Office, to develop the skills to develop the next generation of drugs, from first principles in the lab, testing in clinical trials, or taking new products to clinic.

Accredited by the General Medical Council (GMC), this primary medical qualification entitles the holder to apply to the GMC for registration to practise medicine in the UK.

About Hull York Medical School

Hull York Medical School (HYMS) is a training school for NHS doctors. The school operates mainly from the campuses of the University of York and the University of Hull, as well as from the teaching hospitals of each city. The majority of trainees attending the programmes and courses at HYMS locations are new or non graduated doctors, but it is also the case that working doctors come to seek training and qualification in new areas of medicine to continue expanding their knowledge.
