Course Description

- Both the MEng and BEng (Hons) degrees are accredited by the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS).
- In Year 4 of the MEng degree, you’ll continue to deepen and broaden your expertise and undertake a major group design project. A specialist Space Mission Analysis and Design module will cover the design, cost, logistical and operational implications of space missions.
- Facilities include a Learjet, a 747’s cockpit, a flight simulator, a satellite ground station, a rocket lab, and open-and-closed channel wind tunnels.

About this course
Aerospace engineering at Kingston has an innovative curriculum, excellent links with industry and cutting-edge facilities. It’s the perfect place to study aerodynamics, propulsion, structures, dynamics and materials and enhance your learning through project-based activities.
You’ll put theory straight into practice, applying what you learn to the problems of aerospace design and taking part in a group design project.
Teaching includes lectures, seminars, tutorials and practical laboratory sessions, backed up by design classes and workshop sessions.
Assessment is usually split between exam and continuous assessment coursework (such as reports, computer exercises, laboratories and essays). Some modules are assessed by coursework only.

About Kingston University
Founded in 1899, Kingston University is located in the suburban town of Kingston upon Thames, London. The university’s four campuses can be found in and around the town centre, with a free shuttle bus helping students to get there.
