Course Description

Reasons to choose Kingston: – This stand-alone, credit-bearing course will prepare you for postgraduate study. Content is tailored to the subject you wish to pursue. – Kingston University was ranked No. 1 in the UK for design and crafts in The Guardian University League Tables 2021. – You will work on live projects, develop creative and flexible thinking, sound technical skills and consider a variety of approaches to any subject or brief. Students have recently worked with Kingston Museum and British Airways.

About this course:

This course is ideal if you already have a bachelors degree in a related discipline and wish to progress onto one of Kingston School of Art’s practice-based MA courses.

You will work within your subject-specific pathway as well as alongside postgraduate students. The outcome is to build a strong portfolio of relevant project work which will demonstrate your developing intellectual and practical strengths.

Projects are designed to help you develop creative and flexible thinking, sound technical skills and an understanding of the need for a variety of approaches to any given subject or brief.

About Kingston University

Founded in 1899, Kingston University is located in the suburban town of Kingston upon Thames, London. The university’s four campuses can be found in and around the town centre, with a free shuttle bus helping students to get there. This university offers what they call Flexi-stay accommodation, which allows students to book rooms in their residence halls for periods in which they expect to be studying exceptionally hard.
