Specialise in international law

Studying this course, you’ll be taught by world-leading experts in this field. Zone in on the rules and customs that govern inter-state relationships as you increase your knowledge and understanding of international law. Examine how the essential elements are used to shape the world we live in while exploring theory and practice.

We’ll look at different approaches and designs, as well as discussing ethics.

Your dissertation will focus on an area that is linked to a legal question or your career interests. Whenever you need support, you’ll be able to turn to your supervisor who will guide you through the process and help you confidently carry out your own research from start to finish.

Get advice on which foundation courses are best for you to still study International Law, LLM, if you do not meet the minimum requirements in terms of UCAS score, A levels, or English language requirements.

Undergraduate Degree: 2:1 (Hons) degree (UK or equivalent) in Law or any other subject.

We will also consider applications on an individual basis if you have lower qualifications, or a qualification that is not included on our list of international qualifications, or experience in professional legal practice.

English Language: IELTS - Overall score of at least 6.5, with no individual element below 5.5

London costs approx 34% more than average, mainly due to rent being 67% higher than average of other cities. For students staying in student halls, costs of water, gas, electricity, wifi are generally included in the rental. Students in smaller cities where accommodation is in walking/biking distance transport costs tend to be significantly smaller.

About Lancaster University

Lancaster University was established in 1964 and is located in the rural setting of Lancaster. The campus provides a series of amenities, including banks and a post office. Academically, all of this university’s courses and programmes are accredited and approved by MARP, ensuring that the curriculums delivered here are set at a high standard.
