Course Description

Immerse yourself on a physically, intellectually and emotionally challenging course that will prepare you for an extremely rewarding career.

You’ll have access to diverse placement opportunities, including Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust and Leeds Community Healthcare Trust – within secondary and regional care units, community teams and GP practices. Spending 50 per cent of your time on practice placements, you’ll develop the practical skills needed to care for adults with acute and long-term illnesses across a variety of settings.

Some of the exciting projects you can apply for include:

  • Working with the medical services at Leeds and Download Festivals

  • Headstart

  • The final year Community Scheme

You’ll also be able to focus on areas of personal interest within healthcare during the volunteering strand of the course.

This course is approved by the Nursing & Midwifery Council.

Recognised by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) for the purpose of registration as a qualified nurse (adult).
