Please note that Combined Honours degrees at Liverpool Hope University are split 50/50. This means both subjects will be studied equally.

Accounting & Finance

In the rapidly changing business world, the demand for finance professionals has never been greater. This challenging and stimulating Accounting and Finance degree will equip you with a strong strategic outlook, ensuring that, once you graduate, you will be ready to inform and advise management decision-making at the highest level. The variety of topics studied on this degree will give you a sound grounding in theoretical and practical areas of Accounting and Finance.

Information Technology

Our Information Technology degree prepares you to meet the needs of a wide range of organisations, emphasising the development of a variety of technologies, especially web and mobile technologies that are increasingly becoming a part of our everyday lives. During your studies, you will have opportunities to develop computational thinking and a systems approach to formulating, analysing and solving complex problems.

The degree is intellectually challenging and is taught by staff with a varied background and a diverse range of interests. Your student experience is enhanced by a rich curriculum that exposes you to multiple approaches to technological problems. Information Technology has a wide-reaching social impact, posing many ethical questions, and these issues are explored at various points during the degree.

Accredited by BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT for the purposes of partially meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered IT Professional.

About Liverpool Hope University

Liverpool Hope University, also known as Hope, was founded in 1844 on the outskirts of Liverpool. Hope is formally affiliated with the Christian-Ecumenical religion, and provides spaces to practice your faith, including the EDEN building and Hope Chapel. Applicants can expect to find 12 research centres here, 2 modern libraries with knowledgeable librarian staff, and all of the on-site amenities you would expect as a student. Whenever you need some time away from the campus in your free time, Liverpool’s vibrant City Centre is just a 40-minute bus ride away.
