Course Description
The BSc (Hons) Dental Therapy (DT) programme aims for graduates to be ‘safe beginner’ clinicians, registerable with the General Dental Council. Training equips students clinical skills, professional delivery and self-motivation. This course will enable you to:

This programme delivered in partnership with Eastman Dental Hospital Education Centre presents with academic and clinical training pathways working with the general dental practices, local communities and vulnerable groups as part of our meeting the demands of society today and in the future. Our programme is designed to be a market driver in the delivery of dental health care service and supplying training and patient service with innovative ideas that foster our principles of – Teamwork, Safety, Kindness and Improving.

Applicants must hold 5 GCSEs A-C including Maths, English and Science or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above). Applications are welcome from those with a nationally recognised dental nursing qualification, 2 years relevant dental experience and a further level 3 qualification worth 32 points which must include science and level 2 maths and English.

Established in Central London in 1892, London South Bank University (LSBU) offers a learning experience where students receive tuition only from professionals and specialists with extensive working experience in their fields, outside of the academic setting. The campus’ location and LSBU’s strong employment statistics go hand-in-hand, as the majority of learners are able to find work placements or even full-time employment through the Employability Service office on-site. Living in their residence halls provides the most social experience, but living off-campus is also a viable option thanks to the extensive public transport options nearby.
