Course Description

This two-year Foundation Degree programme has been designed to enable a multidisciplinary study of Events Management at a higher level. You will gain a theoretical and practical understanding of the Events Industry. The modules on this course will provide you with the skills and experience necessary for successful employment through a combination of theoretical study and practical tasks.

This programme will allow you to enhance your current knowledge and skills in order to develop as an informed events specialist. Your learning will include lectures, seminars, guest speakers, conferences, practical tasks at events, trips, peer-group learning and independent study. The programme allows you to study modules such as:

  • Marketing in Events

  • Events and Hospitality Planning

  • Crowd Safety

  • Leadership

  • Human Resource Management

Progression Opportunities Following completion of this course, many students have progressed to a final-year BA (Hons) Top-Up Degree here at Loughborough College in Events Management, Leadership and Management, or Hospitality Management. Others have gone directly into employment in both the events industry and other related service sector industries.
