Course Description

This course aims to provide students with a deep knowledge of a chosen topic in mathematics or statistics and develop their research skills in project planning, reviewing literature, group discussions, research presentations and writing publications. Students can choose to work with experts from a range of areas including quantum cryptography, graph theory, statistical analysis, bioinformatics and mathematical modelling.

Research project dissertation, written assignments, oral presentation, poster presentation, formal examination, progress portfolio.

A UK Honours degree (minimum 2.1) or higher qualification in a related subject. Appropriate experience or other relevant qualifications will also be considered. Applicants whose first language is not English should have an IELTS score of 6.5.

For students staying in student halls, costs of water, gas, electricity, wifi are generally included in the rental.
