Course Description

Students develop advanced knowledge and understanding of the nature, properties and applications of animal cell cultures, stem cells and antibodies, and discover the ways in which genomes are utilised in the detection, study and therapy of disease. Applicants explore the pathogenesis of cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and kidney fibrosis, and examine current topics in macromolecular analysis.

Written assignments, oral presentations, poster presentations, examinations, research project.

A UK honours degree (minimum 2.2) or equivalent in a biological subject such as biochemistry, biology, molecular biology or cell biology. Applicants with relevant employment experience or other relevant qualifications will also be considered. Applicants whose first language is not English should have an IELTS score of 6.5.
