Course Description

This course aims to develop expertise primarily within the area of sport and exercise psychology. Students develop a range of practical and empirical skills that are transferable across industry, sport and health sectors. Applicants learn a strong complement of applied and research skills, balanced with how to communicate key information to relevant sport industry partners.

Assessment is by a combination of oral presentations, assignments, poster presentations, journal articles and an interview.

Get advice on which foundation courses are best for you to still study Sport and Exercise Psychology, MRes, if you do not meet the minimum requirements in terms of UCAS score, A levels, or English language requirements.

A UK Honours degree (minimum 2.1) or equivalent in a relevant sport science discipline including biology, biochemistry or psychology. Applicants with appropriate experience or other relevant qualifications may also be considered. International students need IELTS 6.5 (with minimum of 5.5 in reading, listening, speaking and writing) however other English language qualifications may be taken into consideration.

London costs approx 34% more than average, mainly due to rent being 67% higher than average of other cities. For students staying in student halls, costs of water, gas, electricity, wifi are generally included in the rental. Students in smaller cities where accommodation is in walking/biking distance transport costs tend to be significantly smaller.
