Course Description

In a competitive world both globally and locally, industries and businesses rely on highly skilled engineers for all aspects of engineering. Failure in any one aspect of an engineering system can leave a company vulnerable financially and at risk from a breach in security or safety. Engineering systems are used for everything from basic in-house design to large-scale construction. This programme aims to produce graduates who can engage in all aspects of the motorsport engineering industry from understanding the essential components of mathematics, from aerodynamics and small-scale design to large-scale construction of a competition vehicle that is both safe and secure.

This Foundation Degree is the foundation of becoming an employable professional in the engineering world. Students acquire the academic skills and understanding needed for future studies as well as gaining the higher-level technical abilities needed in the industry. Students graduate from this Foundation Degree with the ability to work in and manage a team as well as being independent and proficient professionals. Students will be able to enhance their studies by progressing onto the Bachelor’s level undergraduate honours degree in Motorsport Engineering.
