Course Description

Do you want to develop the next generation of mobile phones, self-driving cars or smart medical devices? With the rapid pace of change in technology, there’s huge demand for graduates who can create, understand and alter electrical control systems.

This programme covers digital and analogue circuit design, programming, microprocessors and communications systems. You’ll learn to design ever more complex digital and analogue electronic systems, using advanced software tools. You’ll also gain a solid foundation in programming.

In the second year, you’ll work with a group of other students on a challenging project to demonstrate your technical system integration skills, while practising teamwork and project management.

Spend your third year working for a public- or private-sector organisation in a role directly related to your studies and gain solid work experience. Our students have worked with companies including: Accenture, Canon Europe, GlaxoSmithKline, IBM, The Walt Disney Company.

In the final year, direct your studies towards your aims and interests as you choose from a wide range of modules. You’ll also tackle a topic of your choice in depth with a supervised individual project.
