Course Description
This course will provide you with the knowledge and laboratory-based skills that are essential in both the field of Bioscience and Biomedical Science. The key benefit of studying this combination of subjects is that you will be suitably qualified to enter a range of professions.
The School of Pharmacy and Life Sciences laboratories are very well equipped and emphasis is placed on practical ‘hands on' experience, particularly in laboratory work. Our bioanalytical, tissue culture and microscopy facilities have all been recently upgraded, supporting the enhancement of your technical skills and your future employability.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)
Including a relevant subject/science @ C or above (80 UCAS tariff points)
HNC in Care and Administrative Practice or Applied Science with B required in graded unit for entry to Year 1 Sufficient science and discursive subjects and a strong academic profile to be competitive. English and Maths at least at National 5 Grade B.
