Course Description

This course is targeted at aspiring and current managers who want to develop their managerial competences in the key functional areas of a business, with an enhanced skill set in the management of people. It is designed to provide you with the theories, tools and techniques to support the practical management of a business.

This course is part of the MSc Business and Management programme, giving you the option of studying a 2 year MSc (with work placement).

You will graduate with a clear understanding of how to achieve business success by effectively building a resilient team and aligning your people with the organisation’s strategic objectives.

All the modules are rooted firmly in professional practice and are designed to provide you with the ability to apply your managerial, human resource management and leadership skills in a variety of sectors.

Each course in the Business and Management programme comprises of a dual award:

A globally recognised Masters qualification

A Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership (level 7) from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI)

Entry Requirements / Admissions

Applicants whose first language is not English should have an IELTS of 6.5 overall, with no component lower than 5.5, or an equivalent. Get advice on which foundation courses are best for you to still study Business with HR Management, MSc, if you do not meet the minimum requirements in terms of UCAS score, A levels, or English language requirements.

Applicants normally hold a 2:2 undergraduate honours degree or its equivalent in any subject discipline.

Applicants with a lower degree classification and / or relevant work experience will be considered on a case by case basis.

For students staying in student halls, costs of water, gas, electricity, wifi are generally included in the rental. Students in smaller cities where accommodation is in walking/biking distance transport costs tend to be significantly smaller.
