Course Description

There are three distinctive course options on the BA (Hons) Acting programme at Central:

  • Acting is a comprehensive and demanding classical and contemporary actor training course, which nurtures students through a life-changing journey, in which they are challenged to achieve their full potential as actors and acquire skills for working in the full range of acting contexts;
  • Collaborative and Devised Theatre is an innovative and rigorous actor training course which emphasises the creation of new theatre and embraces a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary methodology. Students graduate with the skills to work in classical and contemporary theatre, film, radio and screen, as well as being accomplished makers of their own work;
  • Musical Theatre offers intensive training in the core musical theatre disciplines of acting, singing and dancing, with the emphasis firmly on acting.

Applicants are considered for all three courses through a single UCAS application choice (W410) and through a single audition process.

Students are entitled to full Equity status upon graduation.
