The wide range of methods applied to assessment enables a differentiated approach towards assessing your learning. This also allows you to undertake modes of assessment that simulate typical industry practice within respected business and digital technology environments.
Applied learning Work placements
You will have the opportunity to arrange a year-long work placement in between your third and fourth years. We highly recommend a placement year as it helps your personal and professional development through real-world experience, and enhances your career prospects on graduation. Be it a local, national or international industrial placement, you get personal and pastoral support from your allocated tutor during your placement year.
Previous students have taken placements with various organisations ranging from small and medium-sized enterprises to large multinational corporations including IBM, BMW, Boeing, DHL, Intel, Xerox, Bentley and Texas Instruments.
Entry Requirements / Admissions
Minimum Required UCAS Tariff
This must include at least 64 points from two A levels or equivalent BTEC National qualifications. For example: BBC at A Level. DMM in BTEC Extended Diploma. A combination of qualifications, which may include AS Levels, EPQ and general studies
Qualification requirements
We welcome applications from people of any age. There may be some flexibility in entry requirements provided you have other relevant learning or experience. This must show that you will benefit from and finish the course successfully. Please note the University will only admit students who are aged 18 or over at the point of enrolment.

London costs approx 34% more than average, mainly due to rent being 67% higher than average of other cities. For students staying in student halls, costs of water, gas, electricity, wifi are generally included in the rental. Students in smaller cities where accommodation is in walking/biking distance transport costs tend to be significantly smaller.
