Course summary

  • Prepare for the degree with an extra foundation year at the start.

  • Learn the essential skills of business management and the role of IT.

  • Increase your employability through industrial placements.

  • Experience a strong sense of community and outreach through various student led social initiatives.

You will develop a solid background in the commercial applications of technology and gain good general business skills, enabling you to pursue a broad choice of careers. You will be equipped with the knowledge to undertake professional accreditations such as PRINCE2 (Project Management) or ITIL (ServiceManagement).

How you learn The course is suitable if you don’t meet the entry requirements for our BSc (Hons) Business and Digital Technology course, or you want extra preparation before starting degree-level study. You share the first year with other computing foundation year students, then move on to the degree.

You experience and engage in a variety of activities as you progress through the course. We have designed a balanced mix of these activities to help you with the knowledge, understanding and skills we have outlined above, as you develop as a business and ICT student and enhance your employability.

You will learn through
