Applied learning This course is designed to help you further your career in education. It provides a progression route from undergraduate and postgraduate teacher training routes. You learn from university tutors and expert teachers on a course designed with schools and colleges.

We offer a choice of four elective modules to give flexibility to a wide audience at different career stages. Subject to minimum delivery numbers, you will work with the course team to decide which two of the four elective modules are best suited to your study. The relevant mandatory module plus one of the four elective modules will be studied at both PGCertificate and PGDiploma stages.

Therefore, their role must enable them to use the workplace as a site of learning. Professional qualifications None - though the programme is appropriate for professionals from a range of fields whose qualifications are equivalent to degree level study Entry Profile Applicants will be working in a wide range of private, public and voluntary sector organisations; they may be in technical, management or professional role; have demonstrated success through career progression with sufficient experience in line with the level of study. Typically the students will be returnees to formal education although may have no experience of working at level 7.The main attributes are to be motivated to develop personally and professionally, be willing and have the time to complete the extensive studies associated with such a course. The formal academic admissions criteria are an honours degree at 2:2 level or above or equivalent, applicants who do not meet these criteria will need to demonstrate that they will benefit from and have the capability to complete the course successfully through completion of the application form and interview with the course leader. All admissions decisions will be at the discretion of the course admissions team in accordance with University admissions policy.
