Course Description

The programme aims to provide a solid grounding in Modern Standard and Classical Arabic, conversational ability in colloquial Arabic, familiarity with the major genres of literary expression, both classical and modern, and a broad knowledge of history, culture and religion in the Arabic world. Language instruction is highly intensive and students spend the third year of their studies at at an Arab university or Language Institute in the Middle East.
