Course Description

The Theology Foundation Year offers a unique introduction to the study of theological claims and the understanding of ethical realities. These disciplines are increasingly recognised by employers for the way in which they develop literacies which are invaluable in range of different sectors.

Theological and ethical questions have been explored since the earliest of times, and this foundation year offers an opportunity to understand some of the most ancient and long-standing ideas at the heart of human civilisations.

At the same time, these disciplines are approached in a dynamic and contemporary way, showing how they continue to inform human life and society right up to the present day. Our focus is on making theology and ethics accessible to all, through a range of teaching methods and high levels of pastoral support.

Upon successful completion of the foundation year students will progress to our three year BA (Hons) Theology, Religion and Ethics degree programme
