Course Description

If you love the idea of developing exciting games and compelling gameplay experiences, this degree is for you. You will learn how to use game engines and scripting techniques, enabling you to take your ideas from concepts to playable game prototypes. It's ideal if you're interested in a career as a games designer or games producer.

The course explores the fundamental principles that underpin modern games development, so you can develop fun, exciting, and innovative projects during your time with us. In addition to preparing you for the commerical games development sector, this couse will also equip you with the knowlege required for entrepreneurial careers.

Our sector leading facilities include: the Epic Games Centre, hundreds of gaming PC’s, a Vicon Motion Capture Suite, VR and Mixed Reality Studios, 3D printing and fabrication, and the Maker Space. The only limit is your imagination! Our academics come from a variety of backgrounds, including fine art, games design, interactive media technology, programming, and VR. We have excellent links to the games industry, with talks and events throughout the year. You’ll have the opportunity to develop a professional portfolio and network with these companies to build contacts for your future career.
