Course Description

Bydd ein gradd mewn Hanes a Chymraeg yn dy alluogi i archwilio amrywiaeth eang o gyfnodau arwyddocaol, yn ogystal â rhoi cyfle iti ddyfnhau dy ddealltwriaeth o'r iaith Gymraeg, ei llenyddiaeth a’i statws cyfreithiol.

Enillodd Hanes yn Abertawe raddfa fodlonrwydd o 93% yn Arolwg Myfyrwyr Cenedlaethol 2017 (100%) ac mae 100% o ymchwil yr Adran Gymraeg o safon ryngwladol neu'n uwch (REF 2014). O'r rhai sy'n graddio yn y maes hwn, mae 94% yn gyflogedig neu mewn astudiaeth bellach 6 mis ar ôl graddio (Cyrchfan Ymadawyr o arolwg AU). Enillodd 80% o'n myfyrwyr radd anrhydedd dosbarth 1af neu 2.1 yn 2017/18.

Grading & Study Time

This degree programme is delivered through lectures, tutorials and seminars. You will usually receive nine hours minimum scheduled contact time with your teachers every week. Full attendance at lectures, seminars and personal tutorials (personal tutorials are obligatory). All Arts and Humanities degree programmes include independent learning which requires initiative and hard work. We will challenge you with demanding teaching and assessment. Assessment includes essay, coursework and examination, presentations and a dissertation.

About Swansea University

Swansea University was established in 1920 and is located in the large city of Swansea, in Wales. There are two campuses, the flagship campus is located between Singleton Park, with its green parkland and botanical gardens, and Swansea Bay beach.
