Course Description

Course details: This course equips you with an awareness of contemporary human resource management (HRM) in readiness for being a future-thinking practitioner with cutting-edge knowledge. You explore key functions of HRM, from leadership and mentoring, and business psychology, to business ethics and corporate social responsibility. You gain knowledge and insight into the workings of an HRM department, exploring areas such as recruitment, payroll, employment policies, and benefits, in order to succeed in any modern business. Organisations are only as good as the people who work within them – a successful HRM practitioner maximises employee performance, helping business to gain a competitive edge. Whether you want to work with international companies, start-ups or not-for-profit organisations, this course gives you the skills and expertise to accelerate your career in HRM and the wider field of business. With dual accreditation at Teesside University, as well as the degree you will receive a Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), which is the only chartered professional body for management and leadership.
