Course Description

The HND top-up in Art and Design (Fashion) builds on previous experience and has a strong emphasis on developing practical skills alongside specialist knowledge and understanding to meet the needs of the sector. BTEC Higher Nationals are recognised by employers as providing students with the key concepts and practical skills for direct progression to either Higher Education or employment within the fashion industry. Students will have the opportunity to master essential techniques for their chosen pathway and develop higher level skills in Fashion Design.

A fundamental aspect of the student’s development is educational visits which enhance the course experience and underpin all assignments. Guest lectures are also incorporated into the curriculum to enhance the student’s understanding of professional practice and previous guests have included acclaimed designers, Fashion marketing and PR representatives and specialist practitioners.

Jobs & Career Perspectives
