Course Description
The programme is designed to offer industry specific and creative units that develop artists for the future.
The award will provide high quality vocational training and education for practitioners who can respond to the traditional and contemporary demands of the performance industry and its allied sectors. It will encourage graduates to develop a flexible approach to the processes by which performance is created, characterised by a committed and consistent professional work ethic that is able to adapt to different performance contexts. The course will foster in its graduates the ability to utilise critical and analytical skills in developing ideas and constructing arguments in order to produce their own work in terms of personal and professional development. The course aims to instil in its students an understanding of their chosen specialisms that will enable them to develop their careers upon graduation.
Entry Requirements / Admissions
Minimum Required UCAS Tariff
We strongly recommend that all applicants have GCSE English Language and Mathematics grades A*-C or level 9-4.
Qualification requirements
Where the student is a mature applicant, the college may choose to reduce the required UCAS tariff points if the applicant can demonstrate appropriate experience of their chosen specialism. However, this will be subject to the agreement of the head of department. Entry to this pathway at levels 2 and 3 can only happen in exceptional circumstances, and given its intensive actor training, this programme is not a standard top-up route for foundation degree graduates.
