Course Description

The Master’s in Educational Leadership and Management is an 18 month deeply practical course, which aims to develop and improve the quality of leadership in schools.

There are two versions of the course: Secondary/Senior and Prep/Primary. The principles and methods of both courses are identical, and the examples and materials used are relevant to the setting.

Course content

You will attend three three-day residentials over the course of the first academic year. Assessment is via oral contribution on the residential courses, as well as the submission of three written assignments, all of which are rooted in your own professional concerns. Our intention is that, at all times, the work should be directly relevant to your interests and professional challenges. The course draws from best existing practice in the independent and state sectors, yet the leadership models on the course are not confined to the world of education. Our approach is heavily influenced by the Harvard Business School’s famous case study model.
