Course Description

Our LPC offers you the best possible preparation to practice law with the skills to succeed in business. Improve your career prospects by learning the essential professional skills that legal employers are looking for. In small group workshops, you'll be taught by qualified lawyers with extensive practice experience. You’ll also benefit from online learning resources and personal feedback from our tutors.

Choose to study an LLM in Professional Legal Practice or MSc in Law, Business and Management at no extra cost, and you could be eligible for a postgraduate student loan

Important Information - Progression for full-time GDL and MA Law students

If you started our full-time Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) or Master of Arts in Law (MA Law) in September 2021, you should be eligible to commence the Bar Practice Course (BPC) or Legal Practice Course (LPC) in September 2022 on successful completion of your course.

You will be assessed in a variety of methods including a combination of open and closed book examinations, deadline driven research assessments, written assignments and oral presentations.

University of Law LPC selection criteria: Academic profile and achievement, generally a minimum of an actual or predicted second class honours law degree or GDL/CPE or MA Law; a sufficient command of the English language to successfully complete the course; any special circumstances revealed in your application; academic or other references. London costs approx 34% more than average, mainly due to rent being 67% higher than average of other cities. For students staying in student halls, costs of water, gas, electricity, wifi are generally included in the rental. Students in smaller cities where accommodation is in walking/biking distance transport costs tend to be significantly smaller.

About The University of Law

The University of Law is a private institution located in the town of Guildford, in South East England. It was founded in 1962 as The College of Law of England and Wales but changed its name when it received university status in 2012. This institution imparts courses and degrees in the disciplines of: Law, Business, Policing, Criminology, and Politics. The University of Law also offers international students the option of a specialised one-year foundation programme, which serves as a segue to undergraduate legal education in the United Kingdom.
